For my Professional Inquiry Project during my internship, I continually tested iPad apps for use in an elementary school setting and developed an app guide. To achieve this, I visited classrooms of various grade levels and tested apps with students. I tested the enjoyment and the effectiveness of each app for the student. I also researched accessibility features that can be used for students with certain disabilities and learning needs. This website will serve as a guide for elementary school teachers, particularly at Mike Mountain Horse Elementary School, to access when they are looking for an app to use in their classrooms. Since the guide is online, I was able to continually update it over the course of my internship. If you would like to know more about me or my teaching, please visit my portfolio.
A Public Education 2nd U of L PIP Symposium Clip
I got the chance to present my project at the 2nd U of L PIP Symposium. It was great to share my hard work and learn about what other teacher interns did during PSIII. I hope future teacher interns and other teachers found it helpful! The symposium was featured on the TV show, A Public Education, during the month of June 2015.
